Scarves and Bags made in the Highlands of Scotland
I make a range of silk felted scarves and tweed bags in contemporary styles. I discovered felting a few years ago and enjoyed playing with the colours and materials. I now concentrate on nuno felting (felting on to open fabric such as silk) - I love the crinkled textures of the felted silk and also the fact that each creation is different.
Moving to a new home in the Highlands of Scotland in 2009 gave me more space and time to devote to craftwork. I have been developing a range of bags using Harris tweed and I enjoy mixing together the beautiful colours and patterns now available.
You can purchase items from a list of retailers (see stockist page) or at events, or contact me directly with a request.
Visit the Old Kirk, Nethy Bridge until 30th June 2014 to view the bags and other beautiful work by the Creative Cairngorms group.
(Open daily 12 - 5pm except Tues and Thurs).
